DEREK HUNTIt is with sadness we announce the death of Mr Derek Hunt. He has been a Member since 1994 and will be greatly missed by his friends and family. MARJORIE THORNBACKWith sadness we announce the death of Mrs Marjorie Thornback, who has been an Honorary Member of the club for many years. Our condolences go to her family and friends. Her funeral will take place at; St Mary's Church Cowes at noon on Friday 10th February 2012 followed by a gathering at Royal Corinthian YC

ROYAL VICTORIA YACHT CLUB
The Commodore, Flag Officers and Management Committee of the Royal Victoria Yacht Club (RVYC) are delighted to offer reciprocal membership arrangements to use their club’s facilities at Fishbourne from 31st October, 2011 to 27th March, 2012. Proof of own club membership may be requested.
It remains RVYC policy to welcome all visiting yachtsmen who are members of RYA affiliated yacht clubs and arrive by sea, throughout the year.

Apologies from Royal Dorset Yacht Club
With the Olympic Games coming to Weymouth in 2012 we have taken the decision to totally refurbish our Club and garden during this winter period. To ensure the work is completed in good time, and disruption is kept to a minimum, we have decided to close the Club completely from the 1st January, 2011 until early March, 2011. Unfortunately during this period we will be unable offer our normal welcome or any facilities to any of your members passing through Weymouth. When the newly refurbished Club is re-opened in March we will be open seven days a week and be able to offer much improved service and facilities. I would be grateful if you would inform your members accordingly, and look forward to welcoming them to the 'new' Royal Dorset after re-opening.
